Vancouver Whitecaps Extend Thomas Müller’s Contract Through 2027

Vancouver Whitecaps have extended the contract of German midfielder Thomas Müller through the 2027 MLS season, keeping the experienced player at the club for another campaign. Reuters Müller joined Vancouver in August 2025 after an illustrious career with Bayern Munich. Since arriving in Major League Soccer, he has made a significant contribution to the Canadian club, recording 19 goals and 12 assists in 45 appearances. Reuters The Whitecaps currently lead the Western Conference with 50 points from 26 matches. The club also reached its first MLS Cup final last season after winning the Western Conference. Reuters Vancouver sporting director Axel Schuster said Müller has brought experience and leadership to the team while contributing to the club's progress on the field. Müller previously spent more than 15 years with Bayern Munich, where he won 13 Bundesliga titles and scored 150 league goals in more than 500 appearances. He also won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany and finished his international career with 45 goals in 131 appearances. Reuters The 37-year-old midfielder said he remains motivated to play regularly and is looking forward to continuing his time with Vancouver. The new agreement keeps Müller at the Whitecaps through the 2027 season as the club continues its pursuit of domestic and MLS honors.
